Shofar in the Park

Shofar in the Park
Shofar in the Park is back!

Shofar in the Park is a family-friendly alternative micro-service on the first day of Rosh Hashanah with a New Year's meditation and Shofar blowing.

Whether you are looking for an alternative to services* or something to complement the traditional services you're attending, ring in the New Year with this Shofar blow and meditation ceremony.

Shofar in the Park will gather on the lawn to the left of the Prospect Park Bandshell (when coming from 9th St, entrance) at 5:30pm. We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds.

Join together with other Brooklynites for a bite-sized dose of New Year inspiration, meditation and vibration.

Following Shofar in the Park, we'll walk down to the Dog Beach for the traditional Tashlich ritual - a special New Year prayer said adjacent to a body of water.

*We recommend attending a full service - and you are invited to join us for an uplifting High Holiday experience at Congregation B'nai Jacob of Park Slope.
