What Is Bat Mitzvah Club?
Bat Mitzvah Club is a special monthly experience for 6th and 7th grade girls across Brownstone Brooklyn, designed to make the journey toward becoming Bat Mitzvah meaningful, fun, and shared with a warm community of girls their age.
BMC is designed to complement each girl’s individual Bat Mitzvah preparation by adding the friendship, community, and meaningful shared experiences that make this milestone even more special.
Monthly Meet-Ups
BMC meets once a month throughout the year. Each gathering combines meaningful learning, hands-on experiences, creativity, friendship, and fun.
What We Study
Each month, the girls explore the story of a different Jewish woman and the lessons her life can teach us about becoming a Jewish woman today. The girls discuss these ideas together, create a meaningful project connected to the theme, and receive a Bat Mitzvah Project of the Month to continue putting what they learned into action at home.

BMC Shabbaton
The girls spend an unplugged Shabbat together upstate, full of songs, friendship, and meaning.
Mother-Daughter Mikvah Tour
A meaningful tour giving moms and daughters the opportunity to learn, experience, and connect together.
Bat Mitzvah Club Ceremony
The year culminates in a beautiful ceremony where families and friends celebrate the girls and all they’ve accomplished, with each girl reflecting on her journey as she enters this new stage of Jewish life.
